High Callerton

This development consists of an exclusive barn conversion development of four dwellings within High Callerton, Ponteland. As the existing farm buildings are listed, this required a sensitive conversion in a contemporary manner, integrating high levels of structural sophistication and technological integration.

 

A subtle approach of contrasting traditional and contemporary architectural language was adopted, allowing a contrast of the two forms whilst creating dwellings which met the highest of standards of finish.

The split level design, to suit the existing typography of the site, created dynamic viewpoints through the dwelling while the glazed pavilion linking the two wings and large sliding door arrangements blurred the distinction between the internal and external spaces
